Deleting your user account
Getadeal app and service
You can delete your Getadeal user account at any time. The quickest way is in the app. If you cannot get into the app, you can ask for the deletion with the form on this page.
Deleting in the app
- Open the Getadeal app and sign in.
- Choose Account and then Delete account.
- Send the confirmation code to your email and enter it in the app.
The deletion happens at once and you get a confirmation by email. If you are the last administrator of a company account, the whole seller account is closed and its other user accounts are deleted with it; the app tells you this before you confirm.
Ask for deletion online
Enter the email address of your user account. We will send a confirmation code to it, and the confirmed request goes to our customer support. We delete the account within a month at the latest and let you know by email once it is done.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Deleted: sign-in details, phone number, bank account details, open listings and the images, descriptions and addresses of listings.
- Kept as required by law: the accounting records of your deals and the seller information reported to the Finnish Tax Administration (name, personal identity code or business ID, address) for six years from the end of the year of the last deal.
- Kept to investigate misuse and disputes over deals: chat messages and their author's name and email for three years from the last message.
- When the retention period ends, the data is deleted automatically.
If your account has deals in progress, unpaid payouts or open reclamations, they are completed first.
